Helena (Jude) is a multi disciplinary creative artist and remedial massage therapist practicing in Central Victoria, Australia.
Her visual arts practice explores themes of identity, belonging, culture and place whilst her remedial massage practice focuses on relieving the pain caused by everyday stresses and complex trauma.
These seemingly seperate disciplines overlap and intertwine within an emerging framework of entrepreneurial philosophies about individual, cultural and systemic change.
Prior to her current practice Helena (Jude) worked for 25 years as an event production manager, freelance consultant and educator. This diverse and eclectic toolbox of skills has seen her working in a range of highly diverse settings, from corporate mergers to prisons, schools, gold mines, festivals and theatres. She has produced a wide range of projects from performance installations to regional touring events and international conferences, and was co-founder and director of the Awakening the Dreamer for Children program (ATD Kids).
